What a Heka Watch
Could Be

We are calling upon watchmakers, horologists, and designers to reimagine the wristwatch for a calendar that actually makes sense. Here is the blueprint.

14:32 HEKA · 14 HEXA SATURDAY · CORE ARC DAY 14 / 28 SYNC MODE
01
Arc-Colored Month Ring

Thirteen luminous markers around the dial edge, each colored by its arc — red for Opening, green for Core, purple for Closing, gold for Hexa. The mechanical flow of the year, visible at a glance.

02
Arc Chromatic Indicator

The dial's ambient lighting or a sub-dial ring shifts color to indicate the current arc: red for Opening, green for Core, purple for Closing.

03
Leap Day Indicator

March 29 and 30 are clearly marked on the dial. In leap years, the indicator extends to show the full 30-day capacity — all temporal correction visible in one place.

04
Leap Mode Selector

A crown or pusher toggles between SYNC (civil) and TRUE (astronomical) modes, adjusting the March day count accordingly.

05
Digital Heka Display

A clean digital face showing civil time alongside the Heka date, current arc, and day-of-week with planetary symbols. No ambiguity — you always know where you are in both calendars.
